Truly this property is the perfect get-away, private retreat, family fun place, site for an exciting new home, and, as a present fishing camp. It is all of these, all at the same time! The building is rather nice. It has been added to and improved, and used as a gathering place for the family through the years. It is sturdy, in good working condition, and attractive in a quaint sort of way. It has a living room, a kitchen, a laundry room, two large extra rooms for beds or any other purpose, two full bathrooms, a block wall basement, and a very large covered screened porch overlooking the lake. The living-area rooms are in the middle of the house with the bedrooms and baths at opposite ends. A section of the driveway in front has a raised ceiling. Creatively, this outdoor area is prepared for cleaning fish and for use as a covered outdoor patio. The building is livable with electricity (on breakers), central air and heat, well and septic, and appliances. The property meets the road along the top with a private driveway. Slightly downhill, is a flat area, that is still high up. It might be the perfect home site with a nice big yard. It is away from the road and looks out to the far part of the mountains and the lake. Currently it has a seasonal view. This can be magnified year-round by carefully clearing some of the trees. It is interesting to note that The Clinch River actually runs through Norris Lake. It is straight out from the property in the wide, middle area of the lake beyond the pontoon dock. Decades ago, the family's patriarch had the foresight to install a concrete ramp (6'' deep x 12' wide). The ramp runs out, approximately 150 yards, to the Clinch River Basin at the bottom of the lake. This ramp makes the lake accessible to you year-round and it belongs to the property. No easements or rights-of-way have been granted through the property except for understood emergency application(s), and a very short crossing of the ramp to the water for a friendly neighbor from his own private driveway. No one else has the right to enter the property by the road or from the lake, or to use the pontoon dock. It should be understood however, that all over the lake shore and on the lake, everyone is permitted to enjoy TVA managed land. The property lines of the TVA management area rise, and come in, and go out, as the waters expand or recede. According to the maps, the property does not flood. I hear the lake access on this property exceeds that of most of the best Marinas. The wood stove is not included. Some of the furniture may remain.
